Can I use 6x114.3 to 6x139.7 wheel adapters on my 2005 XE?

I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier XE king Cab with a 6 foot bed. I want to put custom wheels on it, but the ones I like only come with a 6x139.7 bolt pattern and my truck has a 6x114.3 bolt pattern. Can I use a 6x114.3 to 6x139.7, 1.25 inch thick adapter to achieve my goal? The current factory rims are 7Jx15 ET20 with a center bore of 66.1 mm and the current tires, which i would like to re-use are 235/75R15's.
