Can i put oil in my car if it is low

There is no light on a 2012 Honda Accord that tells you the oil level is low , however , there is a little red oil can shaped icon that means the oil PRESSURE is low. Why would you think you cannot add oil to your car (IF the LEVEL is actually low)? They normally do consume a small amount of oil between the interval that the 'maintenance minder' measures. The longer you go between services , the more it uses, that IS NORMAL. Check oil level with engine off for 5 minutes , on LEVEL ground, refer to OWNERS manual to be sure.
