What is your question?
The wiper arm on my 2013 Focus require specific windshield wipers. I was wondering if I could put an older model arm or a universal arm so that I would have better selection of wipers and cheaper

I wouldn't do that just yet,but I do see your point on the prices at local parts stores. I see that there are several designs for your car and don't know which type you have, but here is one comparison of the prices from Autozone and RockAuto.com. Autozone Bosch Evolution Wiper Blade - Front, Beam Design-Part Number: 4844 Fits driver side and passenger side. 28" wiper blade.$ 22.99 each X 2 = $45.98 plus tax, around $50.00! Rockauto.com Bosch Evolution Wiper Blade- Beam Design- Part Number: 4844 Fits driver side and passenger side. 28" wiper blade $9.56 each X 2 = $19.12 plus $8.99 shipping,4-5 business day delivery Total price NO sales tax,=$28.11! same exact blades for around $22.00 LESS!!! Now Rockauto.com has all brand name blades and several different styles like,TL2, 9mm Hook, 9x4 Hook, Side Pin (22mm), Side Pin (17mm), Pinch Tab, Push Button (22mm), Push Button (19mm),etc. I'm sure you know which style you need and they also have the one for the rear,12" if you have the Focus Wagon? so go to Rockauto.com and check out their selection and prices.website is very user friendly.
Check out eBay - them wiper blades from China are as good as you can get - they simply last longer - on my vehicles - and I've tried 'all' of the so called premium brand wiper blades. I can buy '3 pairs' from eBay for what 1 pair cost here at the parts and retail stores. Been using them now for 4 years.
i didn't even look on ebay, although I usually do,but the owner said it takes a specific type which if they know which type the Focus takes,I'm sure they are for sale on ebay. All mine have the J hook,so I got lucky.my brother bought a whole pallet of RainX Latitude Repels a while back cheap, all sizes,so i'm good for a year or 12! the ones I have on there now have been on there for going on 4 years(just clean the rubber with a little DAWN when I wash it,good to go,all sap, trash, goop gone).Although he sold most of em at auctions and flea market,I got me a box full for 4 vehicles free,he had no choice,he's my brother!
People don’t think about, or just done know it, but 16 inch blades is ALL you need on any vehicle.. My Corolla is supposed to be 18†pass - 20â€drivers - I installed 16†both sides - can NOT tell the difference!! They not only last longer but do a better job wiping the glass - plus it’s got to be easier on the wiper motor / transmission to boot .... Back in the day, 14 - 15 - 16 inch wiper blades did a fine job - & still do! A 16 inch blade instead of a 20 inch blade is only 2 inches difference - top & bottom .. My ‘full size’ truck just has 16“ on both sides - from the factory .. It works great for me.
