What is your question?
have power and ground to resistor. Logic wire has batt voltage to it. Blower motor does work if bypass resistor. If I temporary ground logic wire blower wil work. Control head and resistor have both been replaced with new parts.
What makes this problem better or worse?
does not work at all
How long has your 2008 Buick Lucerne had this problem?
couple days

Actually the BCM has nothing to do with the blower motor operation. After looking at 3 different wiring diagrams downloaded off the internet, which by the way none of the had the right information as to wire colors that were on this vehicle, I was able to trace the logic wire that went from the HVAC control module right to the Blower Control Module(resistor) and seeing how the logic wire from the HVAC module was a different color than the blower module logic wire assumed that one of the three wiring diagrams was right and went through a connector under the center console and was shorted to voltage. Spliced in wire to bypass the connector and blower motor works properly now. Hope this helps anyone else that has a hard time figuring it out.
You are the only person I have found that knows how to fix this problem. I have replaced the blower motor, the resistor, and the control module. The blower still does not work. I have positive at the blower motor connector but no negative. If I use a jumper to ground the blower will run but I have no control over speed. Please help me find the control wire to make it work thank you!
This works! Splice a wire from gray/pink wire on black connector on the plug going to hvac control in the dash to the small wire on the resistor. Easy deal and yes I fought this for a day after replacing every component.
Thank you so much. This information really helped. My problem was traced back to a brown connector. This connector was not on the wiring diagram that I was using. The grey/pink wire changes to a grey/blue wire as it passes through this connector. The grey/blue wire then goes into the control module connector. The brown connector had burned through on the pins. I bypassed this with a jumper wire from the grey/pink wire to the grey/blue wire.
