What is your question?
My husband just changed the battery in my moms 2004 Saturn Vue. It was a pain because under the battery is a bracket that you need a long wrench to undo. So if it is not shaking does he need to put it back? My husband seems to think it's not necessary, however I think that if it wasnt, then why would it be there?? Even after the new battery we had to jump start it because it wasnt starting up all the way and then the alternator light came on after and I'm guessing that's from the bracket not being there?? Any mechanics on here who can solve our feud?
How long has your 2004 Saturn Vue had this problem?
Few weeks

Of course as a retired mechanic I’m going to suggest the battery install be completed as that is just how it’s supposed to be done. The ALTERNATOR is what’s causing your problems and is not related to the battery hold down bracket.
Alternator is not keeping the battery charged - replacement is likely required.
