Amplifier replacement

The amp is dead in my car and would like to know if I can replace it with after market due to the input and output plug being stock? Thank you

Have you checked ALL fuses? AMP may have separate fuse , aside from the normal two for the radio. As for replacing it , most any car stereo place would have connectors to adapt from factory harness to aftermarket.

Had the same problem with my 2005 Kia Amanti. If you got hissing and popping, then nothing, you can be fairly sure your amp is shorted out. Prices for a new amp range from $400.00 to $600.00. Used, on E-bay, run from $115.00 to $150.00 with no real guarantee that it will still be working in a month. I chose to look in the junk yards and found out that the 2004-2006 Hundi Genesis, with the infinity stereo has the same amp with a different mounting bracket. It's located above the rear passenger side tire and comes out with a 10mm socket. That must be a good spot because the one I found was in pristine condition for $10.00. Happy hunting!
