need to change fluid in all wheel drive on 2006 buick rendezvous

Put a drain pan under the rear differential, remove the bottpm drain plug with an allen metric wrench, Reinstall the drain plug, remove fill plug with metric allen wrench and pour in about 4 pints and it should pour out, then stop and reinstall fill plug. Drive 3 figure 8's and you are done. The versatrak fluid was $100 at the dealership for four pints. It fixed the moan and groan problem I had. I do this every spring to avoid that terrible noise.
11.3 quart capacity for cooling system so after complete drain it will take a 50/50 mix of antifreeze (GM recommend Dexcool) , rear diff capacity is 2.1 quarts (GM recommend Versatrack fluid in diff and transfer case) , 4 quarts engine oil, a little over .6 pints of oil in the transfer case. Dexron 6 oil goes in the auto trans.
Im about to do this job tomorrow on my aztek, just wondering if you have any recommendation on how to refill it. Im thinking a funnel with a hose, or is the top of the pint bottle small enough to fit into the fill hole?
I wonder why you didnt get your answer here?...
You should have read SOP in manual. There on page 131 Part C. item 4. There is a fill tube adapter port that is housed under passenger rear seat. Upon access, user will flip open the middle flap. If rear differential is filled without use of adapter port located under passenger rear seat, warranty on fluid could be voided. Use eye protection. only certified mechanics should use a funnel with hose. This is why Access port was installed so the danger of placing hose on funnel is removed and funnel can now be placed directly in differential fill hole from the safety of the back seat.
