Replaced O2 sensor before converter. Ran a little smoother after computer figured out the new sensor but still would not re-start after test drive while engine was still warm. Engine is not overheating and idles smooth rpm. Love this car just can't figure out this problem.

Go ahead and stick a crankshaft sensor on it!... It can be tested but it's too much typing for me... Got better things to do!.. For a fee www.alldatadiy.com ... Then you can use the diagnostic flow chart!
My son's 03 Corolla would start fine but after running for 20 miles or so would not restart. No crank at all. We determined that the red battery post was seriously corroded. We removed the cable and wire brushed the post, cleaned and replaced the cable, tightening firmly and the problem vanished. What was happening was the terminal would heat up, the metal would expand and the corrosion would prohibit connection. Once the cable terminal cooled and contracted, you could start the car again.
