What is your question?
Last week was driving on the interstate, and I heard something that sounded as if bolts fell out under the hood in front of the drivers' side, followed in a few minutes with the engine losing power, and eventually died. It wouldn't start then when it turned over it smelled like something was burning under the hood. The car was towed to the dealership, where they have kept it all week, first to tell me they would need to replace the engine due to a recall, then to tell me yesterday, it didn't pass the "knock" test, so they would cover half of the replacement bill and I would have to cover half. WHAT??? Are they not other recalls directly related to the engine for this car and what do you think of this? Also, I spent at least 2,000 on air conditioner repair, with three trips and even then, I left the dealership with it supposedly repaired with water running out the dash on to the floor of the passenger floorboard. Might this be connected to poor workmanship resulting in a problem?

Difficult to offer an opinion without ALL the factual details - which will also be kinda difficult and lengthy to convey via online correspondences. Your better option may be to contact Kia motors directly. Good luck!
