What is your question?
I started my pickup and it fired over, popped, and quit. I have a new battery and the starter is cranking, but the cylinders are not firing.
How long has your 2004 Ford Ranger had this problem?
Just happened an hour ago.

Make sure the fuel pump cut off (inertia) switch hasn’t tripped to the OFF position - see owners manual > Roadside Emergency. Otherwise seek *hands-on* assistance from qualified personnel. Good luck!
When you say "the cylinders are not firing" - are you saying there is no spark at the spark plugs? If you pull an ignition wire, are you seeing an arc of spark when cranking?
