2002 mercury sable air and heat only blow on highest setting of fan

What is your question?

heat and air fan has been loud since dash pulled for heater coil repair but worked on all settings until this am on way to work then wouldn't blow on any thing but highest fan setting

blower motor resistor is bad.replace and check connector for being melted.also check wheel on blower motor,maybe something inside the wheel.
