How do you reset after an oil change to keep the yellow engine light from coming on

Turn on the ignition switch, set the mileometer reading to miles not trip meter, turn off the ignition fully, press the button to reset the trip meter and keep it pressed down as you turn on the ignition key to key on engine off, keep it pressed down for about 15 seconds and then the light will be reset.
