wont shift and slips in 3rd and 4th

What is your question?

I have to get the motors RPM up high to even get it to shift, then it slips in 3rd and 5th what can do to fix this problem.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Probably not much -- sounds like an internal transmission concern, something not terribly uncommon on this vehicle. Seek the guidance of a Mini or transmission specialist.
