Does the switch light up? I can't recall if there is a light in that switch or not. Typically yes. If it lights up and you don't get clearing, you likely have an issue at the grid or the terminal at the grid. Check closely at the rear window to see that the terminals are attached to the glass. Then have the grid checked for resistance.
