Why won’t my vehicle start with key in the ignition but will start by key fob button

Not many noises, my car won’t crank when I try to start it with the key in the ignition all the lights and stuff comes on but does not try to turn over, but the vehicle will start if I lock the doors with the key fob then start with the remote start with the key fob then unlock put the key in the ignition while it’s on then turn over and it stays on and drives.
