What is your question?
It sat for a couple months needing a water pump. Put water pump in and timing belt but wouldn't start. Put new starter and new battery in and still won't start. Put in safety switch and checked all fuses, won't start. Don't know if it has a theft box because I bought it used and it came without a chipped key.

How long has your 2006 Toyota Tundra had this problem?
a month
After calling the Toyota dealer and giving them the VIN number, they said that that model of truck didn't come with an alarm system, therefore not a chipped key to reset it. It looks like someone may have put in their own, though, before us because there is a taped up box under the dash that I know the factory didn't put there with mining tape! Can a person still get a factory chipped key?
Information I see shows a key with immobilizer function was factory equipped. But I cannot be sure. Your dealer definitely has the best information based on your VIN. That said, an unknown "box" under the dash would be a concern and could cause starting issues; would recommend a local technician have a look to verify and advise.
