why it's not starting

If the vehicle requires being jump started, it is likely that the battery is too low in charge to crank the engine over on its own. Have the battery tested for state of charge and the ability to hold a load once charged fully. If it fails either way, it should be replaced. Then retest the vehicle starting and charging system to verify there are no further vehicle problems present.
