Are you any good with testing circuits, and have the test equipment needed to use?
was a mechanic for 20 years, have most equipment or access to it
Ok let's test the mirror circuit; In the integrated power module, Fuse box, is the Heated mirror relay. The power, with key on, has 2 fuses for some reason, #36 10amp, and #26 a 25amp to the electro magnet pin, The ground is supplied by the A/C control, which is grounded at the G202 at the center of the dash. The all time power is from the fuse #27 15amp to pin, I would assume, 30, then when the relay is engaged it will supply voltage to the mirror heater, and the wires are tan/blk at both mirrors, and they ground at G302 in the left kick panel, which is blk/tan. The ground out of the left mirror is blk/org and splices to a blk/lt blu, the to the blk/tan. The right mirror ground is blk/lt blu from the mirror to the splice at the blk/tan. I'll stop here for the moment.
will be working alot in next 1.5 days,( more snow coming )I'll check everything you mentioned and get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you very much for your help
OK; Not to boast, but it has been in the mid to upper 70's here. About time.
snowed 4 of the last 7 days here, highs in the high twenties I wanted to make sure you knew about the problem. The dealer did a calibration test on my truck, after they did it the max a/c light started blinking and the mirrors don't work. It has something to do with their work. These problems did not exist until they checked my truck, what did they do wrong ? Fuses are good, any thoughts on the dealer screwing up my truck ?
