Why is my temperature gauge in the car reading hot but not over heating??

Today when I was driving to work I notice the temperature gauge in my car was all the way up to hot. The car was not over heating at all and it drove fine.

Could be that your heat gauge in your car has gone bad, and needs to be replaced

Your best course is to have the computer scanned with an appropriate scan tool OR code reader that has live data to view actual engine temperature, the engine could very well be overheating .. That way you'll know what is going on instead of guessing!
