why is my gas pedal stuck accelerating?

I am not sure as to how to explain but my jeep's gas pedal is not functioning correctly. It is as if my pedal is stuck to the floor when it isn't. when i press the gas pedal it is making my engine rev. I got stuck in the snow and had to go back and forth with the gas pedal to the floor and every since the gas pedal has been different. When i press the gas pedal the car goes slow. Then when i press the break it is as if i am still pressing the gas. HELP PLEASE
