vehicle won't go into reverse at certain times. Is the transmission going out? We have to push the car back in order to go forward, after its been running for awhile.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It stops working when the vehicle gets hot.
How long has your 2010 Dodge Avenger had this problem?

Hello, you could have some kind of electronic concern, or an internal mechanical concern. It's hard to say until testing is performed while the problem is occurring. There could also be diagnostic trouble codes that would provide clues as to what is happening with the vehicle.
