Hasn't worked since I got it 6 months ago. Previous owners replaced fuel pump, so that's less than a year old. Suddenly, after filling up yesterday, (I always fill completely every 300 miles), the needle goes up and is accurate, but only in idle. Manual transmission if that makes a difference. As soon as I put it in gear and accelerate, it goes back down. Also note, I'm in my 2nd phase at UTI (4th week), so we haven't gotten into this yet and I haven't networked with enough others on campus yet, but. I comprehend technical terms for the most part. What are my options for diagnosing this?
