well typically that leads to your brake pads are down to the metal plate or near it, and/or it needs a check something could of put it out of alignment. it depends were are you hearing it from front or back? left or right?
I hear a chirp when I press the brake peddle and my brakes pads are fine. I think it is something in the deployment of the brake that is making a noice, but I haven't asked anyone to look further.
just hearing it in the front and it is actually when I release the brake peddle....think I need front brakes!
