What is your question?
On my 2018 F-150, the steering wheel buttons that control the radio and vehicle menu stopped working—when the wheel is centered. When I turn the steering wheel to the right, the buttons work. The horn works. Could it be the clock spring, or something else?
What makes this problem better or worse?
When the steering wheel is turned right, the steering wheel buttons work.

Oh, I would say the most common cause of what you are experiencing is indeed a sliding contact, or clock spring, that is not working properly. Access to the sliding contact is needed to check it out as well as the wiring and connector. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
