why did my dashboard light up and the transmission slip in third gear, then the ac blower came on full force and all the previously mentioned problems went away?

the abs, brake, oil, check engine, airbag, low tire pressure, and battery lights all came on and upon acceleration the transmission seemed to be going out (lurching, high RPMs with little power). Then suddenly the A/C blower came on full force and the lights and transmission problems disappeared. What's going on with this crazy van??? No unusual noises or leaks that I've noticed.
