Why cannot start the car? Fault code says generator failure.

What is your question?

Left the front passenger side (Right hand drive) window open and rain poured. I dried the car but now I cannot start the car. When I turn ignition the lights are lit but it does not make any sound. Fault says generator failure. Tried jump starting as well but nothing happens.
