What is your question?
With AC on MAX and HIGH Fan speed - I barely get any air flow at all. Yet at other times - it is blowing freely. Turning all the controls off and waiting 10 minutes (sometimes) seems to open up a door somewhere for high air flow. On a 7 day vacation (5 days on the road) - 50% of the time the sun in the windows easily overwhelmed the inside air temperature. The compressor was checked by the repair shop before the trip. The auto adjusting belt running the compressor - seemed okay. The AC coolant system was converted to a new system 2 years ago. The temperature coming from the vents appear to be the same - but feels like a door is opening or closing at unpredictable times. Soon, my dash will be removed to have a service guy replace my Odometer wheels. While it is off, would be a good time to replace any parts needed between the compressor or blower motor and my AC vents. Thanks
What makes this problem better or worse?
Using the AC system - heating and defrost work okay
How long has your 1992 Mercury Cougar had this problem?

So glad to hear that your dash is coming out anyway. You will probably find what's wrong at that time. I suspect the blend doors are not opening all the way or the venting behind the dash is cracked or broken. Alex
Thanks for your reply. After calling my repair shop today - the Odometer work may occur at another location? So it appears the AC air flow and the Odometer fix won't occur at the same time/location - while the dash is removed. It does feel like a door won't open part of the time. Seems like 2 separate operations will need done. Thanks anyway.
