What is your question?
Is there a common fix? Could it be related to my cruise control not working? The door ajar signal keeps going on and off at intervals also. Any clues to fix? Thanks

Had same problem. Probable Solution - Many of these models had a wiring problem from factory: Seems they made the wires to the multi-service switch (MSS) too short, causing breaks after years of turn steering wheel. The MSS is in the steering column, at the end of the directional lever. Your having problem(s) because several of the vehicle's lighting components are wired into this switch. I discovered that the solution is to, first, open the steering column (3 or 4 screws ) to access the wires to the MSS. Then, label and then lengthen (I added about 2 inches ) each wire that go into the plastic wiring connector that plugs into the MSS. FYI - If needed, you can buy a new, generic plastic connector at some auto parts stores. Suggestion - splice a minimum amount of wire because there's not much space.
