Where is transmission "take it out of park" switch located?

Usually there is a manual release area concealed by a little trim piece near the shift lever. Could be on the top or side of the lever area. Often times, using a long screwdriver to access that hole, you can release the vehicle from park manually. However, be advised that it can be dangerous to try and operate the vehicle this way. If the lever will not come out of park due to a fault with the brake light system, then people won't be able to see that you are slowing or stopping, and it could cause an accident. So do have it checked out soon!
