where is the fuel filter located and how to change it

the fuel filter is an in tank filter, that is the only filter there is for the car, its not so much a filter but a sock that goes on the end of the filter you can find the part on parts.com that's the only place i've been able to find it, on the front of the fuel tank there is a nut, when you remove it the fuel pump is attached to it the sock is on the end
