where is the anti-theft controller module

If you are talking about the Passive Anti Theft System (PATS), the system that verifies the proper key is being used to start the car, it is located within the instrument cluster. These clusters have a known problem. When you re-initialize the cluster (as can sometimes happen when battery power is completely gone for a period of time...), it exposes as software glitch in the cluster itself which keeps the PATS system from working. The cluster needs replaced. And bad news: they don't make them anymore! I ran into this in the last year and couldn't believe it. Luckily,I found a used one that i was able to use.
