The BCM on a 05 Amanti is located on top of the fuse box under the drivers side of the dash board left of the steering column. If replacing - disconnect battery ground, Unclip wire harnesses on fuse box(not easy) on bottom of fuse box, remove 10 mm nuts, use bungee to pull fuse box to the right, remove BCM nuts and then harnesses. A couple of flat head screw drivers may help to remove harness clips - gently press the center button with one while gently prying each side slowly. These are very tight and pliers can help but can easily damage the clips. The BCM Controls the antitheft transponder system (immobilizer) as well as other electronic controls on the body of the car like brake lights, wipers, windows doors etc.
