Would help if you explained where rattle noise is coming from. Could be exhaust shield rattle, cold belt rattle noise, noises in enclosed spaces like garage can sound really loud in there. Help us by pinpointing where the noise is coming from if you can.
Okay, sorry. Sounds like coming from engine area. Most when backing up, When put in drive a little but after engine runs not really heard any more. Cold belt rattle? Is that fixable? Thanks so much for your reply. I am single mom and don't know about cars at all.
The belt when gets old will make noise at times when rubber is cold till it moves thru the pulleys, heats up and noise can stop. The problem is that it happens when engine is first started and so can be hard to duplicate at a shop unless can leave overnight. Could also be lifter rattle from engine till they pump up oil pressure. Make sure you check and top off oil level if needed. If can arrange to leave overnight with a shop and let them hear first thing in the a.m. it would be best and go from there. Good luck.
