When I start my car the gauges flat line and only headlights work

What is your question?

When I start my car the gauges flat line and only headlights work well the ford 500 will continue running. To correct this issue I take the negative battery cable off and it reset whatever the issue is. This car has 190000 for the mileage. I went to a repair shop they sold me a new battery and said it was fixed. This did not change a thing. Very frustrated please help.

Wiggle ignition switch lock cylinder - the thing keys go into.

Suspect failing ignition STARTER SWITCH - possibility worn LOCK CYLINDER. Lubrication may help. Good luck!
