When I turn on my headlights, the dash and clock/radio lights dim. This is something that just started recently. What could be causing this and will it be expensive to fix?

If your charging system (alternator or battery) is getting weak, this could cause your dash lights to dim. Does it get more pronounced as you turn on more accessories like the dome lamp, rear defrost, heater blower motor? Most shops have a tool to test the starting/charging system and some parts houses will test your battery and alternator for free. You haven't had a large stereo installed recently have you? A large stereo system can create a large draw on the system that can dim the lights
