I was the fortunate low bidder on a Mercedes 300E (1993) on Ebay and didn't read the fine print. It states that it has a noise in the bearings and the muffler is really loud. Any idea what I will need to do to repair this car and what kind of cost range are we talking about? I bought this for my nephew who is in the 10th grade and just turned 16. I don't want to go crazy but would like it to be safe. Help appreciated.

It's hard to guess with out being able to drive the car and inspect the exhaust system to see what is wrong. You can get an idea of repair prices here https://repairpal.com/estimator/mercedes-benz/300e Have a pre-purchase inspection of the car done by a local repair shop familiar with Mercedes and get them to prioritize repairs and maintenance needed on this car to see if this car is worth fixing and keeping or would be better selling and cutting your losses.
