What is Ticking/Tapping noise coming from engine once RPM's reach 2k?

What is your question?

Engine lost timing upon initial restart death noise. Towed home, replaced head. Engine runs GREAT except when revving accelerator ticking/tapping noise @ 2k rpm underload and in park. Checked connecting rod bearing anyways, but NOT a knocking sound.

how did you check the bearings?? what was the clearance?? could be a lifter or a bad valve seat. Roy

Just checked to see if I could get some swinging in connecting rod bearings; doubtful if it's the vavle seat or lifters because I just replaced the head and would hear noise when idling.
