What is your question?
The Subaru MAP-update procedures describe downloading the maps onto a subaru sd-card and apply the new maps thru an USB SD-Card reader via a USB-hub. My problem: can't find an sd-card in the 8-inch headunit. Any suggestions how the updates are done? If possible at all: I like to add European maps onto my US-built Outback
What makes this problem better or worse?
Can'not find anything on eg youtube

Hi, If your NA Outback has the same 8" Navigation system than my European one, there is no more SD card. Also, the updates are not via http://www.subarumapupdates.com/ but via https://subaru-maps.com (run by HARMAN International Industries). You need to create an account and register your vehicle using your VIN. The installer is placed on a USB stick with at least 16 GB. Update is via the car's USB port with the navigation software running. Updates in Europe are rather infrequent. Cheers, Christian
