what is avg cost of fuel pump replacement part

if you do it yourself,fuel pump assembly is around $300.00.there are a couple different ones.35 gal./55 gal. tank you have to drop tank,to remove and replace.you need to check the connections at the fuel pump first,these were bad to give problems on chevys.there are test to make sure its your pump,unless test already done.
