What is your question?
my 2016 keeps getting out of alignment and chewing up tires. i checked the Consumer Reports repair history for this model and BINGO, the 2016 have a much worse repair history than the older models. Somehow GM screwed the customers again by cheapening up the front end to save $.50. Any idea on what needs to be changed to correct this or is this something i have to live with. align front end at7K mile intervals to try and save tires.
How long has your 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 HD had this problem?
since new. had to align at 8K miles because of uneven wear. wore out tires by 15K

Hello, I have not heard of a "known" issue with "cheapening up" the front end of a GMC truck. Wheel alignment related tire wear issues are and always will be related to road conditions, use conditions, lack of tire rotation issues, vehicle weight issues, towing use issues, and so forth. Anytime you change the geometry of the suspension (think: Load carrying, towing tongue weight), you change the alignment angles of the wheels. The ride height will change as the vehicle changes in load carrying. I'm not sure what you use the vehicle for, but consider this in all honesty. If you are constantly towing a load or carrying a heavy load in the bed of the truck, consider having a wheel alignment performed that considers these factors when setting angles. The tires should be analyzed by a good shop to determine exactly what kind of wear you are experiencing. If it is more edge wear and feathering, you could have a toe issue from road conditions. If you have cupping, you could have suspension related and vehicle weight related issues. Agree that tire rotations help, but many folks do not bother rotating tires on vehicles with dual rear wheels due to the time and expense of the service. Blaming your problems on vehicle design is not helpful and likely inaccurate.
