What does check gages mean

Hello, Not to sound rude, it means you should check your gauges. It comes on when there is something reading outside of specifications. This may be a result of any sending unit or sensor that controls a gauge on the instrument cluster, a bad instrument cluster, bad engine control module, bad body control module, etc.. The only thing you can do is identify if one of the gauges is reading incorrectly and find out why. If the gauges all look normal, send it in for diagnosis, otherwise it will just be a headache until it breaks down.
