What could cause equinox to shake while shifting up and down ?

Chevrolet Equinox LT 2007 only 44000 miles jerks/shakes at 40-50 mph especially above 2000rpm. Shifting problem?? Appears it doesn't know if it should shift up or down??
What makes this problem better or worse?
Acceleration?

Hello, This sounds like bad motor and transmission mounts initially, but I have to wonder if the vehicle will continue accelerating past 40-50 mph, if acceleration is normal or interrupted, and if it does this more if you are pressing the brakes or less when turning.
