What causes a Grinding/rubbing noise in steering wheel?
What is your question?
I have a 2008 KIA Sorento LX 4WD SUV. There is a constant, grinding/rubbing noise whenever I turn the steering wheel in any direction. So far, a boot at the bottom of the steering column, near the brake pedal, has been replaced and a clock-spring too. The grinding/rubbing noise has continued unabated. It does seem quieter when the SUV is cold but as it's driven the noise gets louder. I just had the steering fluid flushed with normal service. Any ideas on what is causing this annoying noise?
