Hey, my name is Dusty and I'm one of the auto experts with RepairPal's Car Genius team here to help! That knocking, rattling, or ticking sound, especially when it gets louder during acceleration, is concerning. It could be a simple issue like a belt tensioner or pulley noise. Or a very serious issue like an issue with the engine's timing system or other internal components. It's essential to address this promptly to prevent any potential damage, or making any existing impact worse. I'd recommend having a professional inspect and diagnose your vehicle to pinpoint the exact cause of the noise. They can perform a thorough examination and provide you with the best course of action to resolve the issue and get your Forte running smoothly again.
