Has anyone heard of a shift assembly sensor?

I have an 07 cobalt. The locks been going hay wire..but also there is another click that doesnt invlove the locks. The power lock button on the driver side has never worked in my vehicle. Could my shift assembly sensor be gone as well? I may not have the name correct. But the sensor is located in my shifter. When I shift out of park my car is supposed to lock. It doesnt. On top of that.....my keyless entry remote to my car no longer works. It started working 100%. Then it started workin only from a certain side. Now it only pops my trunk. It started acting weird after the locks started going off. It works in store... but not to my vehicle. Should I check the relay for that too? Who here could help me figure out this weird issue. It doesnt leak. I have cold air intake... and of course an after market air filter. No I didnt install none of these items. It was sold to me this way.

What makes this problem better or worse?

It doesnt matter what I do... the car just locks and unlocks constantly
