I had the same problem. The water from your A/C drain tube is backing up and draining under the carpet. Remove the right front tire. Look up and against the firewall and you'll see a drain tube with a metal cover above it. Take a coat hanger and push it in the tube to unclog the tube. Around the tube is some soft foam insulation. Take some silicone, put it on a small putty knife and push it under and around the drain tube the best you can. This will prevent water from leaking back in the car. Remove the glove box (it's easy, just a few screws) and remove the cabin filter. If needed, replace with one from Auto Zone. If you have an air compressor, blow out the area really well and use the coat hanger in the tube again. I removed the insulation pad under the carpet and put it in my dryer. Once dry I installed it and haven't had a problem since. Good luck.
I agree with "Schmiehausen". I had the same problem and what solved my problem was using RTV silicone to seal around the condensate drain tube where it penetrates the firewall. The foam gasket is not adequate and fails over time. If you are not familiar with the description of the work, take the write up by Schmiehausen to your mechanic.
Are there any pics for this? I removed the passenger side front tire but only see two lines going to the brakes.
