"Water in coils"...dealer mechanic said. What are coils? Can they get wet?

is water leaking in engine area from somewhere?has the engine been sprayed off?maybe leaking coolant line close to the coil/coils.has it been driven through a lot of water lately?maybe windshield washer hoses under hood leaking.you have a coil/cop on top of each spark plug.
