valve train noise

auto was wreched 2yrs ago sittin in shop in corner . body work finally done engine cranked up and started to tap. isolated noise to cyl6 pulled cover checked clearance intake extra loose cam had werd wear patern. while had to tear front cover off great time to replace all 4 cams. 1 through4 fine valve adjustment with ford work instucktion. have been makin livin on exotics for 30yrs never had this. ford close to jag 4ltr even down to tappit shims

OK - this makes sense that damage occured due to some kind of accident. Therefore, all "normal" situations don't apply. It's more like something must be out of alignment, maybe in the cylinder head itself? Not sure. What was the point of impact?
