I have had the same problem with the car not being able to shift the car into drive when it is in park. This has been an ongoing problem with my vehicle over the past 2 1/2 years. I thought it was maybe because I was parked on an incline. That is the only time it has happened. In any event, it shouldn't happen at all.
Hard shifts into rev. and 2nd to 3rd. Its been doing this since about 60000 miles and is getting worse. Last ford I will ever buy.
