my geo turns over but will not start I have changed the rotor, there is no spark to the spark plugs. could it be the cap any help would be great

I would check for spark to the distributor cap first. Pull the coil wire from the cap and make sure it has spark, if it does, then focus on the cap, if not, then work your way back from there. Be very careful! The coil can put out quite a lot of voltage!
I know for a fact on my 96 geo that if you unplug temperture sensor to the gauge, you lose spark. If the sensor is bad it will do the same thing.
Ok I have a 95 Geo prizm it will only start with starting fluid but only run for like a second help?
